Welcome! We would like to introduce and bring you to yet another famous franchise restaurant at Kampar, Ipoh, where it had been established quite a long time ago.

Face to face Noodle House is one of the Malaysia’s local foods however it's not really popular in some state. We also never heard about this noodle shop before we came to Kampar to continue our study at Utar. However, during this 3 years of Uni-life,  Face to Face Noodle House can considered as the food shop that we will go frequently because it tasted not bad and it provided a lot of choices of noodles.

Face To Face 面对面 normally will open from 11am to 10pm on every day of the year (Monday to Sunday). The shop will be crowded between 12pm-2pm and 6pm-9pm.

The address is No.2248 GF, Jalan Batu Sinar, Taman Bandar Baru, 31900 Kampar, Perak. You can search for this place using its GPS latitude and longitude coordinates:

History of Face to Face Noodle House
Face to face noodle house is specialised in noodles especially on pan mee.

Pan mee (Chinese known as 板面) is a Hakka-style noodle, originating from Malaysia. It is part of Malaysian Chinese cuisine. The dough is made from flour (sometimes egg is added for more flavor). Traditionally, the dough is hand-kneaded and torn into smaller pieces of dough.

Pan mee is typically served in soup, together with dried anchovies, minced pork, mushrooms, and a leafy vegetable such as sweet potato leaves or sayur manis (sauropus androgynous)It can also be served dry with a thick black soya sauce (also known as dried pan mee).

The story of Face To Face began over 100 years ago, with the founder’s great-grandfather, who, in 1903, left China for Hong Kong to seek his fortune. He pioneered the now-ubiquitous Sarawakian Kolok Mee, using homemade noodles created with the technique he had mastered in Hong Kong, that is by mixing eggs, flour and other ingredients together by hand, then riding a bamboo log to knead the dough and produce chewy, springy noodles.

Over the years, the quality of Face To Face creations has captured the hearts, and stomachs, of the masses. Today, with minimal advertising but plenty of positive word-of-mouth from satisfied customers, Face To Face has expanded to 30 outlets within Malaysia, with more on the way.

For pan mee, you can choose how your pan mee it's going to be served. It could be pinch pan mee, thick or thin pan mee as well, just follow your own comfortable way.

We usually will order for the Chef Special Pan Mee, Spicy Pan Mee and Sarawak noodles– Mee Kolok as our dinner. The noodle house is crowded around 6pm, we have to wait for quite some time before the food arrives. It's not very long though (about 15-30mins).

Chef Special Pan Mee (RM6.50)
The Chef Special Pan Mee (Soup) is best and nice to eat. It contains fish balls, egg with yolk, pork lard and some ikan bilis where it's crunchy and you can chew on it while eating together with the Pan Mee.
Spicy Pan Mee (RM6.50)

Soup

This Spicy Pan Mee (Dry) comes together with a set of flavorful soup with meat balls. You can drench some soup to the noodle to moist it, it will be easier to eat, and it bring up the surprise after you drench the soup on the noodle. Trust me, you would love it!
Mee Kolok (Rm6.50)

Sarawak noodles– Mee Kolok. The chewy noodles served with minced pork and Char Siew, so simple, yet so irresistible!

They do provide their customers with a wide selection of ingredients and homemade chili sauce to go with the noodles. We were highly recommended you to mix together the chili flakes into the Pan Mee. You can feel the spiciness when you eat it but you will feel the satisfaction into maximum level.

The recommended chili flakes.

Wanton Soup

We also recommended the Wanton soup. The soup here tastes like it was simmered for long time and not using artificial flavorings.

Side dishes are available as well. We like to order their barley in wonderland (hot) and ice kacang.
Ice Kacang (Rm5.50)
Barley in wonderland (Rm5.00)
Apart from the above orders, you can also find other dishes like bread and nasi lemak. Besides that, there are few vegetarian dishes available too.

It was quite worth and reasonable for us to pay for the price since it was a big bowl of it. Even students like us can afford it.
